At Saturday's January 24th "Rally for Iran" in Springer Market Square in freezing temperatures more than 200 came to show support for the local 1,000 strong Iranian community here in Kingston. Many members of the Jewish community, including Beth Israel, RFTL's and KJC communities came out to register their solidarity with the Iranian people. 

Many, many Iranian flags were present along with a smattering of Canadian and Israeli flags. A huge Israeli flag was brought to the rally by members of the Iranian community. 

There was no sign of the "From the River to the Sea" antizionist keffiyeh wearing Palestinian supporters.
