President's message

Thank you for visiting the online home of Beth Israel Congregation in beautiful, historic Kingston, Ontario, Canada. 

Beth Israel follows contemporary Orthodoxy and is committed to meeting the religious, educational, cultural and social needs of its members. We can best be described as a vibrant and growing family where both young and older members work together in harmony to develop ideas and achieve common goals.

As a progressive community, we have much to be proud of. We have an active afternoon Hebrew School and own Otterburn House next door, which serves as a gathering place for Jewish university/college students. Integral to Beth Israel are numerous volunteer committees such as Adult Education,and Youth Group, and thriving organizations including Beth Israel Auxiliary and Queen Esther Chapter of Canadian Hadassah – WIZO.
 Beth Israel also has access to several world class educational institutions such as Queens University, The Royal Military College, and St. Lawrence College. 
Our Congregation, established in 1910, will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary this year featuring many special events, programs and projects. We will be welcoming home former members, clergy and students. It promises to be an exciting time for all.
