SYNAGOGUE OF KINGSTON AND THE THOUSAND ISLANDS

cantor2For just over a century, Congregation Beth Israel has maintained a traditional Jewish presence in Kingston, Ontario.  While contemporary Orthodox  in practice, Beth Israel continues to welcome and support Jewish congregants at all levels of observance.  I am pleased to have been invited to nurture this tradition during Rabbi Elkin's medical leave and convalescence.

Our Talmud torah accomodates students from Nursery  through their Bar/ Bat Mitzvah and beyond, with our weekly High School program.

We offer one-on-one Bar/ Bat Mitzvah training, which I am proud to provide personally, giving each student an exciting and gratifying ownership of both the process and the occasion.

Our Minyanim convene regularly for Kabalat  Shabat and Shabat Shacharit, with lively interactive discussions of Parsha highlights each Shabat morning.

My door, phone and email are always open to congregants and the Jewish community at large for spiritual counselling and support of life cycle events.

If you are planning a one -time visit to the Kingston area, or contemplating a permanent move to our vibrant city, please contact me for information or advice, so that our congregation can welcome you with open arms and an open heart.
